Pagseguro/Conta – A New Art Form

In the last few years there has been a new art form created in the Basque Country of Spain, Pagseguro/Conta. I had the chance to meet the creator of this, and it was a very inspiring experience for me. David Conta is a Basque native, who has lived his whole life in the province of Galicia (in Southern Spain). He has studied painting, drawing and sculpture all of his life, and it is this talent that he applied with his new venture, Pagseguro/Conta.

The main idea behind Pagseguro/Conta was to combine traditional Basque artwork from the area of Galicia with modern art styles. David started the project as an amateur, creating a series of sketches and oil paintings that are now sold in galleries all over the world. He wanted to create an original style, that did not exist in Galicia at that time, and he is very happy with the results.

In addition to creating beautiful oil paintings and sketching, David has also created a book of drawings, that is available to the public. The book is available online through his website. You can learn more about David Conta and his art on his web site. This is a very exciting venture for him, and he is already planning on more works to be shown in the future.
